THE ORIGIN OF 1963 THE LABEL
Founded in 2022, 1963 The Label first came to life in 2019 when Lucy had the idea to mesh both sustainability and luxury in one.
1963 The Label is influenced by Paul Evans, Lucy’s late father who sadly passed away in 2019. It was the final push to create a legacy not only for the founder but her father too. The logo reflects Lucy’s late father (Halo), the butterflies (his 4 children) ‘1963’ Paul’s birthyear and the colours, her mother’s favourite.
Fast forward two years, countless samples, swatches, colour dying, amending manufacturing protocols to reflect societal needs we came to the decison to make hand made limited stock instead of bulk producing and using over polluting mechanical companies.
We now have a label that consists of no plastic, only recycled and sustainable materials, eco - ink, biodegradable packaging, and a swimwear line that sculpts, lifts and empowers every person who wears them. We're just at the beginning and have so much more planned. All I hope is to make the clients happy and my father proud. I can't wait to see you all wearing 1963 The Label.
